SUPPORTED STAYS
Since conception, it has been the goal of Homb to offer philanthropically-funded stays to those who do not have the financial capacity to pay for a stay independently. We know that post natal depression and anxiety do not discriminate and can affect anyone regardless of societal or financial standing; please follow the link below to see if you qualify for a partially or fully supported stay.
With a minimum 4-night stay and maximum of a month, our Care Specialists are available 24/7 to nurture you in our calming environment. With lactation and feeding assistance, basic baby care and settling, 3 meals per day with snacks also provided, all you need to do is rest, recover and bond with your baby.
In between mealtimes, our Care Specialists are available to help with as much or as little as you need. There will be daily educational sessions providing you with the knowledge and empowerment to make informed choices for you and your baby on a range of topics. Included in your stay is 1 x postpartum massage performed by one of our incredible bodyworker care specialists, if you would like an additional massage this can be arranged at an additional cost and availability. All of your clothes will be washed on site for you daily if required, in addition, your room and ensuite will be cleaned and tidied daily. A nursery for your baby is also available should you require it. There is a communal space for you to be with others.
Our team of care specialists have a wide range of skills and qualifications, including;
Registered nurses, Midwives, IBCLC Lactation Consultants, Naturopath and Nutritionists, Doulas, Birth Trauma Practitioners, Bodyworkers, Night Nannies, Aware Parenting Educators and gentle sleep consultants — all collaborating on the best ways to guide and support our guests through their stay.
WHEN SHOULD I STAY?
Any time in the first year of your baby's life, provided you are both discharged from hospital. In order to get the most out of your stay, we recommend booking in the first six weeks of your baby's life.
HOW IS HOMB DIFFERENT?
Homb is not a sleep school. While our Care Specialists are available to you 24/7, and can help with settling and care for your baby while you sleep, we do not offer sleep training.
Homb is not a mental health facility. In cases where urgent mental health support is required, we will organise transfer to an appropriate facility.
